I think they are great if you are looking for something "Old Skool" to wear with your modern scottish clothing.
From a Reenactor standpoint they aint so hot. There are other cheaper dirks out there that are more authentic. And then there are the Glen McClain Dirks for 2-3 times what this guy charges. Nice thing about Glen's dirks is that you can really get the goat of museum folks. Nothing like walking up to a Curator and handing him an exact copy that Glen made of something thats supposedly on display and watch them deficate fired earth building materials.

Hi,
I'm the maker of the Sgian Dubhs mentioned and I'd like to thank everyone for your kind comments on my work.
One of your members pointed me to this site which is pretty cool.
I've worn my own Kilt on many a walkabout around the world in my younger years, owning the same one since I was about 18. But alas too many beers and a wife who's a good cook have meant that I've now grown out of mine and will need to see if I can get it altered to fit.
Regards,
Rab

Welcome, and again, great work!
As far as not fitting into your earlier kilt, it sounds like a good reason to buy a few more!
