Just found this
Hi, I'm Stephen and I'm from Northern Ireland. I have always had a thing about kilts. Just think they are magic, but I don't get the chance to wear mine as aften as I would like.
Any suggestiions about how to get over that?

Hello Stephen, welcome to the forum.
You know, when i read your post I had this flashback to my favourite movie - Braveheart.
It was Stephen played by David O'Hara who gave us such quotes as "It's MY ireland..." and "The Almighty says this must be a fashionable fight. It's drawn the finest people."
So Stephen of Ireland, be assured that having a thing about kilts is not only completely understandable, but also places you among friends in this forum.
Come back often and feed the habit!

Just do Stephen I did and it works, I went out with a mate of mine to Norwich, Norfolk (lots of strange people in Norwich) and I had lots of looks and one or two asked me why I had a kilt on and I just said it was Kilt day ! and as you know any day you have your kilt on is kilt day, one old lady asked me what tartan I had on and I just told her and she was happy :-D I have now been out to more local towns with no probs, have fath, it's like getting it the water cold at first, but then it warms up

Welcome, and not to steal motorman's thunder, it's kilt day.
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long
