Facebook
For those of you who are familiar with facebook, I noticed that Texas A&M has a group listing of 15 members under the heading "Real Men Wear Kilts". One member, Erika Schmidt wrote, "yeah, so this is probably the coolest group on Facebook. I went to the Renaissance festival and there were Sooo many guys in kilts....it was glorious."

I just did a quick search on the web. www.facebook.com They say "The Facebook is an online directory that connects people through social networks at schools."

My son started a Facebook group by the same name, but apparently there is a separate one at A&M. My son is at DBU.

Facebook is sorta like X-Marks except the focus is a lot more general and mostly used by high school and college age students. They post a lot of personal information such as schools attended, hometown, friends, interests and hobbies, clubs, blogs, favorite movies and books, and pics. It is a growing forum among college students.

Looks like you have to be part of certain specific schools in order to register. My college isn't on the list!
