    Weathered Gordon from Celtic Croft

Was hiking today in my new Weathered Gordon 13 oz hand sewn traditional Lochcarron from Celtic Croft. Pics on page 9 of my gallery. I'm loving it.

The jacket is an enlisted men's Ike Jacket from What Price Glory. I added inignia to honor my uncle Donald Macdonald who marched across France and Germany with a Tommy Gun in War 2.

    Hey River

Nice lookin kilt the jacket makes it look very antique, like you just stepped out from the pages history.

Man, that Ike jacket looks perfect with a Kilt. I never thought about that combination. Looks great!
I remember my Dad telling me how much he liked his Ike jacket while marching across France during the war. He had also told me of how he got goose-bumps when being welcomed by a Pipe Band when his troop ship arrived in Glasgow.

Jerry, at What Price Glory, is wise to offer these Ike jackets, and his RAF jacket in sizes up to 52 these days :-? For us old fat guys who honor the War 2 generation.

My dad sailed into Glasgow too, to join the RAF, but he didn't write of the band. Heavy censorship back then, and he never talked of it later. Thanks for that piece.
