The effects of medication on a few of my favorite things
Sad indeed.
I just got put on a medication. Now, that wouldn't bother me, because after all, it's for my own good. But it's so expensive, I'm going to have to put on hold that Stillwater kilt I was going to get after the New Year for a long while, at least (the meds will last twelve weeks).
The second effect is that I have to severely curtail how much I drink during that time. I don't drink that much anyway, but do on occassion. On this stuff I can have a drink every now and then with no problem. But I got a bottle of Johnnie Walker black label for Christmas, and I like a wee dram before bed. But I guess that bottle is going to last a whole lot longer than it would have otherwise.
Sorry, but I needed to vent a little.

Nick,
Sorry to read about the need for meds. Hopefully, they'll have their full effect on you in a short time, and you'll feel much better through the balance of the course of time you're having to take them. I can empathize about the cost of medical care, after all I've been through in the past 18 months. I wish you the best of health, upcoming in the New Year.
Blessings,
Mac

Nick,
Feel free to vent if you need to, because we are all here for you.
12 weeks will go by faster than you think, so all good things come to those who are patient enough to endure.
Hope that all goes well for you.

Get healthy. Stillwater Kilts and Johnnie Walker will still be available when you're better.

No fun, Nick; but a lot can change in 12 weeks (uh, other than Johnny Walker & SW ), so you can look forward to better health & maybe even better weather. (I will be spring in Texas by then, but since you're in Michigan, I can't promise you that.)
