new (?) kiltmaker's web site
Just came across a weaver/kiltmaker's site I'd not heard of before.
No personal experience, but their site indicates they sell their own woven tartan cloth and kilts at what appear to seem to be reasonable prices (from £126 without VAT, heavyweight casual, wool).
They also propose samples for £3, where other suppliers ask for £10 or even £15 !

Unfortunately, I found this one day after ordering a second-hand kilt from e-bay -- at a higher price!

I'm also highly interested...their prices seem really reasonable.

Yes...noticed that also....and even the website has the same structure.
And also....they use the House of Edgar tartan code.
I checked both websites for a rather rare tartan...both match perfectly
Old and Rare Tartan Kilt
Tartan - Tartan: MacLaren Anc 1819 Var MWS2256
There must be a difference...House of Edgar is far more expensive...almost triple the cost (I can tell :-? )

I like that when you select your tartan it adds an image of the tartan. Very nice touch.

Mistery solved....Tartankilts.com = The House of Edgar
I was wrong about "triple the cost"...I payed € 540 for my "Rare and Old" when I order the same kilt online it will cost me € 525.

That's good indeed.
I hadn't even noticed that the pics appeared; I thought it was just a list of names. Wish they were a bit bigger, though.
