An open invitation
Gentlemen and Ladies,
on 01 July, 2006 my lovely wife and I will be tying the knot! We have been together for 10 years now and we have finally convinced each other. Would have thought our girls would have been convincing enough, but hey, when the time is right...
I had looked into doing the deed in Ireland or Scotland, but alas, no way in the world will funds allow. So, we shall be holding the ceremony right here in Prince Edward Island, in the Summerside area. More details on exact location later.
A beautiful place to visit, filled with Scots, Irish, Acadians (many of whom were Scots) and Mi'kmaq. A piper from the College of Piping (in Summerside) will do the honours.
We would be thrilled to have any of you attend and share in the celebrations. Bring the family and turn it into a family vacation. Great food(lobster), great beer(or whatever), great prices on accomodations etc.
Again, come on down, over, or up and share in the festivities. Just happens to be Canada Day as well!! More details to come... 8)

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!
I wish I was closer to PEI, I would love to come out and help you celebrate the day. However, due to distance and my job, that cannot be.

Congrats! PEI is a long way from Oregon. I was there as a youngster and always liked that part of the world. I have a Canadian Casual in the Nova Scotia tartan being shipped Monday.

Hey, considering today's stats concerning divorce, we've already done great at 10 years.
C'mon gents, everybody together now: I want to spend July 1st in PEI!

Wow, I have always wanted to see the East Coast. Unfortunately I am trying to find a way to be at the Drumnadrochit Gathering in August.
Congratulations on the upcoming wedding.

To add to the experience, I'll add the following enticements: a few days prior to the nuptials, you can check out the Summerside Highland Gathering and just afterwards, how about the world famous Nova Scotia Tatoo and the Halifax Highland Games and Scottish Festival .
C.mon ya bunch 'o hairy highlanders, join the fun. :-D

You really make that sound inviting. I'd love to use that as an excuse to visit PEI; unfortunately, it doesn't fit in with already made vacation plans.
BTW, my wife and I tied the knot after knowing each other for a total of 3 months. That was almost 18 years ago. Time flies when your havin’ fun. 8)
