The love of my life
I started wondering if I have any real friends at all? Sharing my life in some internet forum. A real nolifer
But I has to share whats happening in my life somewhere where I can get objective comments and support. Anyone else who has need for that? Thank god for internet and Xmarks!
Some of you know about the girl I was seeing for about a month now. The one who had the son. I met the son at friday and what a great kid! I was sold. How can so great mother have so wonderful kid? That's just crazy! Well. I gave her the kilt skirt I bought from ebay and she absolutely loved it. She said me "I think I'm falling into this kilt thing and the promoter of it even more. Really frightening". I was very happy about that.
I just wanted to share with you all how happy I am with my life at the time. (Though it is really delaying my flat reconstruction). And maybe a partial reason for this post was also the 3 shots of Laphroaig I just drank...

Ackwell,
I would like to assure you that you do indeed have friends here at Xmarks. We may be scattered all over the globe, and may not be able to make face to face contact. However words also have a way of touching the heart, whether they are written or spoken. Can you recall reading a very good book that you could'nt put down, and brought tears of sorrow or joy to your eyes?
I can feel through your words that you are filled with joy. Thank you for sharing your happiness. It sound to me that you may have met the love of your life. See sounds like a wonderful woman, that has done an exceptional job of raising her son alone. That speaks volumes for her. Cherish her, and keep her close.
Wishing you (and the girl of your dreams) all the best.
Darrell

Reminds me of a situation I was in many years ago, except it was me with the 2 children and that woman wasn't sure. We've now been married 19 years and together for 2 before that. You will find that this will be a great and eye opening adventure. Enjoy the love from 2 people that will end up being very important to you.

A few drams of laphroaig will certainly help one meditate on the good things in life.
While I feel that internet friends will never replace the flesh and blood / face to face relationships...yet it is good to be part of a community like this.

Ackwell,
It sounds like you have found a special woman. I know you were concerned at first about her already having a son, but decided to take a chance and see where things led. Sometimes we just need to take life as it comes and take a chance. I myself had not planned on getting married until I was in my 30's (prompted by my own parents getting married, and divorced, too young). However, I met someone who I loved and was my friend and we go married the day before I graduated from college! We have been together over 20 years now. We have had some problems, including over the past year, but things will work out if you are willing to put some work into it. The best things in life are free, in that you can't buy them with money, but you still have to work to get them.

I hate to be the party pooper, but I think you should wait just a little longer to call such big shots my brother. It aint easy to share your life with someone. Just take it easy, step by step, and dont rush into things. Whatever happens, happens. Good luck.
