New Canadian Casual
I got my Nova Scotia 5 yarder from MacHummel Friday and wore it today, just before the weather is to turn worse. The NS tartan is lighter than many of the the other PV fabrics, so this will be a late spring, summer, early fall kilt. I really like it.
The yellow kind of washed out of the pic, but the colors are beautiful.

Congratulations. That's a beautiful tartan - I'm really partial to blue. It goes very well with the light blue shirt and the grey hose. A nice casual look.

Thanks. Like wrote earlier, the colors aren't quite right in the picture. It really lloks good in natural sunlight and the hose are lovat blue. We may see the sun here in Oregon in a few more weeks. ;) Maybe I'll get an outdoor pic then.

The Sporan(?) looks good.
Did you just put your clan crest on a black fanny pack? that is a great idea. Does anyone else do that, or similiar. I have as of yet to purchase a sporan, and my utilikilts and Pittsburgh kilts have pockets, So I never really thought about it. Outside of an Opera with my wife, I dont think I would wear a big and fuzzy, (what was it someone else called it, a Mirkle?) sporan for everyday wear.

As a matter of fact, that's exactly what I did. The fanny pack with it's compartments is more versatile for me while working, so I bought a clan badge at Hector Russell when I was in San Francisco and pinned it on. I'm looking forward to seeing the nylon sporran from SWK though.
