New "hybrid" sporran strap....opinons?

My latest make-my-own-stuff project.

I agree with many of you who have posted here about the commercially available straps that hang from your belt...I don't care for their look at all. So I designed this one that has the look of the usual separate belt, with the advantage of being attached to the kilt belt (much easier to deal with, and more comfortable, when wearing a heavy day pack with its own waist belt and hiking up and down mountain trails).

Keeping the strap flat on the apron is accomplished with the round section which fits through the loop on the back of the sporran.

The stiching is a bit rough as this is just the prototype. Comments, suggestions, or flames? Thanks.

Interesting idea. It does look much nicer than those hangers but not for me. At times I slide my sporran to the side and this doesn't allow that, otherwise, I kinda like it.

It looks good. A bit lower than I wear my sporran but thats no biggie.

Not wanting to steal someone else's idea, but have you thought of using clips of some kind instead of going through slits in the leather?

I like a strap that goes around the waist.
