Ireland's National Semi-Traditional in the Canyonlands

Maybe this should be in the show us your pics forum but dang I'm so stoked about this lovely kilt. Rocky says Kelly sewed it up. It sure is nice! I want her to get fair credit for her work so posting here. Check the sett from her perfect pleatwork!

The front pic has a bit of underapron showing, but that was me dressing in a hurry, the kilt hangs perfect when I pay attention.

Yup, that's my "jumbo" hiking sporran. If you wanna see the pictures larger go to my gallery and click on them. These are on page 14 and 15.

    Ron

    Perfect sett pattern, thanks Kelly!!

Boy do you make that kilt look good!

I'm trying not to think about the MacNaughton Semi-Traditional I have on order from Rocky - and this is NOT helping!!!!!

    Ron,

Great pics! I am waiting to wear my Ireland's National casual for St. Pat's day, but I am having a hard time! It is a beautiful tartan. I will just have to satisfy myself by wearing the Donegal tweed box pleat kilt I received form Matt on Friday. Will post pics tomorrow. It is very different from my other kilts, and much heavier material.

The lakes still a little low, I see. Not as bad as it was Christmas of ’04, the last time I was there.

That's much more subdued than other images I've seen of the tartan. It looks awesome outdoors.

That's definitely added to my "list".

    Aye Mudd,

Its back up about 50 feet, and there's more than a full snowpack up your way for spring. Should be back up a bit more when Spring comes around.

Don't be a stranger when you come to town, we'll have a "Lake Powell Kilt Night"

Ron, that's a beautiful kilt - looks great on you, and the setting for your pictures is breath taking. I envy you living in the location that you do.

Very nice kilt Ron, it's got me thinking about that tartan. I agree with Andrew, it looks subdued, maybe the light and the distance.

Boy, there ain't nothing subdued about this kilt, but its tasteful, doesn't leap out as having too bright colors. The orange stripe doesn't show well in pics, but its there eyeball to kilt.

Here's a link to eight indoor and outdoor pics of my USAKilts Ireland's National. Hope you can open it. On my monitor the indoor pics seem to represent the colors the best. Maybe all the redrocks overpower the green since they're opposite colors on a color wheel.

Kelly sewed this one up, check out her perfect pleatwork for a perfect sett.
