I got hit on by a College Girl

I seem to be well received no matter where I go in my kilt.

In fact, a couple of weeks ago we went to a Japanese restaurant and a waitress (not ours) came up to our table. She introduced herself, stated a little bit about her current situation (she's still in college) and then proceeded to inform me when she saw me hobbling in on my cane wearing a kilt that it was "love at first sight." She thought I looked so handsome and so distinguished. Then she offered her phone number and asked for mine!

Needless to say, I had to decline this beautiful young thing (wrong type and I was having dinner with my partner anyway). But it was still extremely flattering.

Great story. The power or of the kilt is mighty indeed. If something like this happens again, accept the offerd number and post it for the rest of us!

Yes, being distinguished and good looking is a natural for the Kilt! Great story.

I love when that happens, especially infront of my bifurcated friends. Any crap they throw at me for wearing the kilt stops cold when the lasses come over to see me.

The surest way to find a kiltsman is to follow the trail of broken hearts he leaves behind him.

Blue Ocean Japanese Restaurant across Picket Road from Fair City Mall in the shopping center at the intersection of Picket & Little River Turnpike.

And that's BLUE OCEAN, not BLUE OYSTER for you Police Academy fans!

I actually eat there a lot so the other waitstaff knows me well, but this young girl was a new employee.

    Hi,

I'm still new at wearing a kilt on any kind of regular basis so bear with me on this question. Is there any easy way to wear a kilt properly if you are at one of the Hibachi tables and you're sitting on the floor basically? My wife has given me free reign on dinner for my birthday and I'm debating between a Japanese restaurant that has the traditional tables or another steakhouse where we will have a booth or table. I'm going kilted either way but just not sure of the logistics of sitting on the floor for more than an hour. Any suggestions are appreciated.
