My first day as Liturgist
Well, this Sunday was my first day as liturgist in my Church. I've done the job before in other churches but I have to admit that I was a little nervous. This was the first time I've held the position since being injured and the stairs leading to the alter worried me. And this was the first time I've done it since being kilted fulltime.
Thankfully it went off without a hitch. I didn't fall down the steps as I'd feared. And thankfully the seat for the liturgist faces sideways towards the alter & lectern instead of out towards the congregation so there was no worry about an accidental flash of the congregation.
And my fellow church members all thought I did a great job. Now let's just keep praying that my streak continues and I don't fall down the steps next Sunday!

Congratulations
Sounds like you made a good statement, Phillip, as well as performed a worthy function. Had you been liturgically vested, the impression of the kilt would have been lost. (May I ask, with this Roman Catholic or Episcopalian?)
Best wishes,

I am sure that you not only did a good job with the liturgy but you looked good as well and may have opened a few eyes in the congregation. We kilted gentlemen are so varied and so talented. Congratulations on a job well done!
