    Stillwater Saffron Kilt

OK guys, I hadn't seen this mentioned on here yet, but Jerry at Stillwater has some new kilts. Its a Saffron "Shadow Tartan" available in the heavyweights. I'm posting the pic from his sight.

    Whose gonna be first?

Oh man, you just HAD to show me that, didn't you? Just one more reason for mywife to be upset with me.

On the plus side, my tax guy says I can write off my kilt purchases as advertising for my online collectibles site.

It's tempting, but if I like my Irish American from ScottishKilts.net (should be here in about a week), I'm going to go for their 5 yd Scot American in 16 oz worsted wool. I've fallen in love with that tartan.

I received my 8-yard tank in my MacNicol Humting Modern about three weeks ago, and it is absolutely superb. Workmanship and fit is first rate. They get full marks in my book. You WON'T be disappointed...rather amazed. Take your time removing the basting stitches. That gives you a close-up look at the wonderful workmanship!

Nothing is worn under the kilt...everything works just fine!!

That's a very fine looking Irish trditional. I've never tried on a battle -style kilt before. Note the extra buckle and it sits 4" above the waist. I've thought about the saffron before but that colour is a killer! amazing.... Bugger!
As for colours... Any blue, dark Leaf to olive green (definately more olive tho'), medium ti dark brown, off whites, blalck and charcoal.
My choice would dusty french blue button up, matt black leathers, oatmeal hose with charcoal flashes.
    whetting that appetite!! aaaargh!

Angerli, No, it really is scottishkilts.net. Several of us have ordered the Irish American from them recently.

The SWK Saffron is beautiful. Alas as others have said - Stillwaters are too long for me.
