X-Marks addiction poll
Since I've been here barely more than a month, I've racked up countless hours reading the various threads here. I figure I might as well see how much time everyone else spends on here.
here goes.
Two questions.
How long do you spend on X-marks
A. on an average weekday?
B. during the average week?
I'll start....
A. recently, I've made it a habit to keep X-marks open the entire time I am at work, waiting to see who is posting what ( yes, my job is fairly boring most of the time) . That would make it about 8-10 hours, with prolly around two hours or so actually doing something here.
B. Avg for a week would be about 50 hours, although my active time spent responding to threads is prolly in the neighborhood of 20 hours a week.

Okay, I'll jump on this.
Most days I try to log on at least twice - once in the morning with coffee and once before I go to bed. Sometimes, I need more breaks or if I just don't want to do work I'll come on during the day as well. In the morning and at night I tend to spend at least an hour each time with more during the day. So my guess is that I spend at least 2 to 3 hours a day reading or posting on XMarks.
Some days I miss my visits (as happened this weekend) but I get so far behind on my reading that I wind up spending the same amount of time that missed but on all on a single day.
So my guess is that I spend about 14 hours a week at least on XMarks. It's not a wonder Nopadon thinks I'm having some kind of bizarre online affair with you guys. Seriously, I just really enjoy this place and all the conversation.
But I do try to keep my time on here limited. I mean, I have to save time to go online and shop for more kilts & accessories!

Since I'm a retired old fart, I log on at least twice a day, usually 3 or 4 times. The total time is around 2 to 3 hours. I do confess that as I was approaching the 1000 post milestone, I stepped up my visits and my postings, so that I would reach 1000 posts on my 62nd birthday (Feb 28). I didn't add frivolus posts like " I'm posting number 984 now" but I did reply to more topics than is usual for me.

I really don't know how much time I spend here. I've been working at home a lot lately and the temptation to have a look is great indeed.

It's no worse than going out and spending time with your buddies, just online.
Don't forget, you have to spend time here so you know which kilts and accessories to buy.
I probably spend about two hours a day here, broken into blocks of about twenty minutes. Unless I miss a day, then it takes a couple of hours just to go through the new posts, besides the normal time.

Depends on how busy I am - some of my work is done from home but my part-time work as a District Court Clerk/Assessor and voluntary duties at the aviation museum both take me away from the computer so sometimes I miss a day. I only found this site last Christmas through a link from Bravehearts but now visit most days. What was already a superb kilt site has been made even better by Pour1Malt's superb photographs.

Normally, before 0600, approx 1500 ish, 2000/2100. Currently on vacation from work but not people I know. So while waiting for others I upload photos and commentary to family website and check personal emails.

Two hours daily total. However if I get finished with my appointed tasks, I am usually available for perusal.
