    My last kilt........

Has anyone else made a few kilts, and then said to themselves.."This is it, this is the last kilt I am going to make"?

I am finally finishing one that I started months ago, and I can barely stand to look at the thing.....

I am definitely having the rest of mine made for me....

Just wondering if this has happened to anybody else.......

Yes, one Kilt was enough for me, and only on those special times.

I am looking forward to resewing already made kilts and making new ones, it means that I have lost more weight.

I do make my kilts without a permanent waistband, so they are easy to alter - I just use a belt and hand sewn belt loops.

Having lost 10 inches from my waist in just over a year I rejoice every time I find a kilt that needs to be remade smaller.

Maybe it is just that there is no incentive for you to work on more kilts?

Nope. I often think it... but I never say it. It is impossible to take that tack when there are always two or three kilts in various stages of completion. See? if you get tired of one kilt, just go work on another!

Instead of making more kilts, I plan to use the time to learn the 'pipes....

    I just can't do both.......

Good luck to you. I've already determined that I'll never have the time - nor the talent - to learn the 'pipes. (Now all the smart-aleck XMarks may rejoice.)
