Glasgow Highland Games

Just thought I'd let everyone know that there are Highland Games taking place in Glasgow Kentucky. Dates are June 1-4.

My wife brought a Kentucky tourist guide home and while looking through it I noticed the advertisement and thought it would be of interest here.

I am hoping to maybe take a long weekend and attend.

That is, unless I'm in Maine or Quebec at that time... but let's hope not.

I'll be there this year barring emergancy. I will also be going to Carrolton.
This would be a fine place to arrange a meeting. Anyone who is familiar want to make suggestions?

I am trying to figure out a way to schedule a long weekend so that I can go, I may have to go without the wife, she may not be able to get the time off. Where is Carrolton?

Carrollton Ky is May 12-14 this year.
For the Ohio crowd, it is a lot closer than Glasgow. About 30 minutes south west of Cincinnati I believe.
There will be about 20 of us from the Lexington area that I know of.
Same offer, it would be nice to put faces with teh names.

According to the Xmarks Highland Games website, they are. But the website for the Paducah games is a few years behind.

Hiya, guys!

Weel, m'lady and I are goin'. This is going to be my first ever Games, and I canna wait!! I Mapquested it, and it's going to be a long drive - 560 miles from Raleigh!

If there will be a bunch of us there, we oughta plan a place/time to meet up and have a wee dram togither!
