Hi from Germany
I must have read every second thread here as a lurker but never got round to registering unti now.
Hadn't had a kilt of my own since I was 4 (for my own church wedding in Germany and for my sister's in Scotland, I had a hire outfit). Felt like a fish in water wearing the kilt.
And now I have my own, a big heavy Cameron of Erracht monster in military style. Still learning to sit down properly with all those pleats (and walk past the coffee table without sweeping off wine glasses!), but the kilt is a dream and I'm busy getting the rest of my kit together. For the time being it's fine with a short sweater.
Look forward to your company! Any other Germans, Danes (or ex-pats) here?

As far north as it goes Hermann, the home of Beate Uhse, rum and KBA...
I came here when I was 20 and here I am almost 18 years later. Here to stay.

(edit: apologies for the cryptic references non-German members! First to work it out (apart from Hermann, who will know straight away!) can pat themselves on the back...)

Welcome Moose, from another part of Germany.
I don't think of myself as an ex-pat, but we've spent the better part of the last 21 years in the Oberpfalz region of north Bayern.
I haven't been a member of this forum for long, but there is a wealth of information, humor, and fellowship here.
One thing most of us like to see is pictures of others in kilts, probably because it lets us look at tartans or accessories before we buy them for ourselves. If you have questions, there are plenty of advisors here.
Auf Wiedersehen,
Tom
