My Daughter's Wedding
Evening all. Its been a hectic, trying and joyful day all in one. Before calling it a night, I thought I'd share one picture from the day. This one shows my daughter and her new husband, my two sons to his right and my wife and I on their left. Our kilts are courtesy of Rocky and Kelly. The rest of the wedding party and my duaghter's father-in-law were in rented kilts and my brother-in-law was in his Clan colors (I forget where his kilt came from other than he had it made on a 6 month military assignment in Scotland). And yes, we all wore belts, but we were more comfortable with belts on for those that recommend lossing them for the vests.

If they outlaw guns, can we go back to using swords?

Verlyn,
Heartiest congratulations; a truly spectacular picture of a beautiful family. All our best wishes to your daughter and her new husband.
Incidentally, I have always thought that the picture of you and your wife that's in your avatar has got to be one of my all time favorites.
Bob
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.

You are all going to have many fond memories of the day, and I am sure the kilts added to the joy. You all sure looked good!
Well done, to both families!

That's a picture to treasure. A beautiful young lady calls you father, and that's a row of sharp looking lads on her right.
Just wonderful! Congratulations to all!

What a nice looking wedding party. For how many of the men was this the first time to wear a kilt, and what did any of them have to say about the experience?
Congratulations to all,

Only two hadn't worn a kilt before; the grooms father and one of the groomsmen. Not sure of their reactions, but I helped Mike show them all the proper way to wear the kilt on Friday night and they all wore it at ease. The best man and one groomsman have kilts, but they were "ren faire" kilts that weren't done all that well by the maker and we rented theirs. At the reception, the only thing my one son complained about was this stupid collar is to stiff and giving me a rash. The jackets came off, but my sons are quite comfortable in the kilt. Once we get some of the professional shots in, I can post a really good one of everybody. The photographer was facinated with our Skain Dhus. He had to take a picture of mine and one of the grooms. He even wanted to know the correct name of the "knife thing in you socks".
