Hello. I ran across this forum a couple of weeks ago while browsing some kilt related web sites. I have been going to celtic events for the last several years but never actually considered buying a kilt until attending the Fairie Festival in Glen Rock, PA (at the insistance of my wife) last month and seeing literally hundreds of men in kilts (much higher percentage in kilts than at any celtic event I ever attended.) I am proud to say that after extensive viewing of posts here and visiting an insane number of kilt websites, I have taken the plunge and placed an order with Amerikilts on Friday. Sorry, but I'm not quite ready for a tartan kilt, ...yet. It should be here in time for the Potomac Highland Festival next weekend. Thanks for all the helpful posts.

Welcome to the addiction. You will find LOTS of great advise here. I'm glad to hear that your wife encourages your kilt wearing. I too started with "contemporary" kilts. They are great for everyday wear.
