Jackets....go to a golf shop!

To me this is not new...after all...I'm a golfer, but for those who don't play golf this might be a good tip.

I often wear golfers clothing (jackets, rain jackets, wind breakers, turtle necks, polo shirts etc.) with my kilts.

Most jackets are perfect! They're short, high quality and available in nice colours.

Good idea! I have an old beige Harrington jacket that would be good with a kilt - if only it didn't already have a red tartan lining!
I'm looking out for a jeans jacket in navy corduroy for casual wear just now.

Most jackets only have a small brand logo somewhere (breast, sleeve or neck) just like any other.

For instance (jackets I have):

-A Pringle rain jacket.
The jacket is dark olive to forest green. Brand name and logo are navy blue (on a sleeve) hardly visible.

-A FootJoy wind breaker/rain jacket (see picture initial post) khaki, with "DryJoys" embroided in black on a sleeve and a bronze coloured "FJ" logo in the neck...again not very flashy.

-An Ashworth windbreaker (pullover type) jacket dark green, logo and brand name embroided on a sleeve...also dark green (ton-sur-ton). Need good eyesight to see it...even when close.

-A Dunlop windbreaker...nylon on the inside, fleece on the outside. Jacket navy blue with "Dunlop Golf" emboided on the sleeve in white and a small white Dunlop logo in the neck. All small and very acceptable.

-A Cutter & Buck windjacket with a zipper, oatmeal with a small black embroided brand logo in the neck.

You see? it's not hard to find multi functional gear

I never realized that ahyone would have problems finding waist length casual jackets!! All but a couple of my non-suit jackets are waist length.

Think leather "bomber" jacket style-> same as most nylon and fleece jackets.

Is this just an American thing? I never thought it was.

I have gotten them from all sorts of stores, as well as Land's End and LL Bean.

It's only a small logo, so I'll only charge a small fee for the ad space. Maybe I should be paid by the advertiser each time someone reads that logo on my chest or looks at the name plate sewn onto the backside of my clothes.
