    Ireland's National blacked out!

This is going to be my Mentos and Diet Coke experiment outfit today. Some associates and I at work have decided to see if the combination of those 2 items is as explosive as recent reports seem to show. If you are not familiar with this, Google Coke and Mentos, or check out the video at www.eepybird.com. Oh, and I scrunched the hose down further after seeing this picture.

Splenid, KCW, yet again you have found a shirt to match the kilt.

    Looks good.

We tried the diet Coke thing last week at home & got it to shoot quite high.
Drilled a 3/16" hole in the lid & cut a little bigger hole in the plastic seal inside the lid. Then used an upholstery needle to thread 5 mentos onto some kite string. Pulled the string through the hole in the lid so that the mentos could be held-up out of the coke while screwing the lid back on. Let go of the string so the mentos dropped in & wooooo hoooooo, Coke geyser!

Hope you have fun with with it too.

I don't know that I'd risk soaking a kilt (even a SportKilt) in Diet Coke.

Besides - playing with Mentos and Diet Coke is dangerous.

Oh, it's not dangerous, see below. However, I think that this is nuts:

And wait for the Holiday weekend installment! My conspirator in arms missed the real event today! I am going to do another round with a real video camera, instead of the still camera in video mode, this weekend.

Rob, the black shirt works so well with the Irish National tartan - did it myself just for a day (before our current heat wave hit us!), and with the shirt comes the hose. Great! HOWEVER, I am a little concerned at seeing brown leather accessories with the black!!

I know full well that black hose and black shoes/boots can be a little OTT - just too much 'black' - but I'm afraid your brown footwear just doesn't look right to me.

It's too hot for me to think of a solution right now. 15 minutes to midnight and I'm sitting here sweating like a ---, with all the windows wide open too. It was 88ºF outside at 10.00pm with what I imagine to be matching humidity. The forecast is for the temperatures to go on rising until at least the middle of next week. This isn't kilting weather - it's nuddy weather!!

That's certainly hot enough Ham, but you should try some of our Mid_Atlantic states weather. It's often in the 90's with matching humidity.
