    A picture

This is me in my kilt. It's a very cheap one bought at a music festival, and bought without knowing anything besides the fact that 'I like kilts'.

Worn very casually around the house here:

I really would like a new kilt.

Thank you for showing us the pic, and it's good to see a young man so keen to wear the kilt. Well done.

I'll say nothing about that 'kilt', except that I think you should keep it for wearing about the house, and not go out in it!! However, if nothing else, it will give you a feel for the real thing. We all have or had to start somewhere and I am sure you will find yourself something better quite soon. There are plenty here who will help you and steer you towards getting something you will be really proud to wear.

Again, well done for taking those first steps, and welcome to X Marks.

    I don't wear it outside
It's comfortable though, so that's a bonus for it.

When I've dropped some gained vacation-weight and got some money back that I spent on the vacation I'll propably order a Union Kilt.
They say that Britain is a lousy place for good food. I beg to differ, most pubmeals are so good that I over-eat.

    Yes, comfort is most important.

Yes again, Union Kilts are to be recommended. They may not be traditional kilts, but they are excellent alternative kilts.

Oh, I beg to differ as well. Of course, you can find unappetising, poorly prepared food here - as you can anywhere in the world - but most of our pubs and restaurants serve amazingly good food.

Nice photo, always good to see another young man take a liking to wearing the kilt. The experts will no doubt delight in pointing out that the fold where the pin is attached to the outer apron is on the wrong side, unless of course it is the photo that is mirrored, but 99% of people won't notice the difference so go wear it with pride.

The pin *is* on the left side. It's a cheaply made kilt and I don't suppose those who made it knew much about kilts in the way people here do

Another of the reasons I only wear this one at home is the lack of pockets, and I don't own a sporran. It doesn't have any straps for a belt or sporran either.
