    Thumbs up Kilt Roll for Travel!

    ok lads....

    ai had tae roll a kilt tae travel tae Wales...

    we arr gain' tae see Derek an his lovely lass...

    sae ai took some photos...

    (actually Emma did the rolling...)

    here ya gae...

    start wi' the kilt apron doon/pleats oop on the bed...

    and start rollin frae the side...


    roll the hale kilt till a' the pleats are roll oop...

    an' straicht!


    then...

    wi' twa hands..

    turn the kilt richt side oop...

    and wi twa other hands - place yur rolled oop stocking (prepared earlier!)

    oan the top and roll the stockin doon o'er the kilt...

    again keep the pleats straicht!

    when the hale kilt is rolled inside the stockin...

    like a muckle sausage...

    do yin maire check tae mak sure the pleats arr straicht..

    then pack it in yur case....

    yur done!

    Thanks for this tutorial, as a newby who is preparing for his vacation and absolutely wants to be kilted on the trip, I had been wondering how I was going to pack my kilts... now I know.

    Thanks P1M - I was wondering how I was going to pack a kilt or 2 for my visit. Then again, isn't taking a kilt to Scotland like taking a sandwich to a banquet

    I always put a stick in the middle, that keeps the whole thing straight, then wrap it up in a sarong.
