    New COOL kilt + member

    Hello

Not been here for a while but I am wearing kilts more and more; I just had to post tonight.

Anyway been in Edinburgh this week at a conference.

Was wearing my 21st century tartan at our booth, they guy in the booth opposite was so impressed with the look and indeed the attention I had he came up and said "I have to get one it looks the bollox" So I directed him to G Taylor (+TFCK) 1 mile away and he duly got one ordered, so no there is one more of us or at least there will be in 8 weeks.

It has been hot here in the UK and I was wearing my black 6 yard TFCK in the evenings, today was booked to be the hottest day ever in the UK so I made tracks to see Howie at TFCK over lunch time for a COOL kilt.

Luckily for me he had an off the shelf camm kilt that were exactly my measurements, so this evening I decided to walk up Salisbury crags very steep and hot but the cammo kilt was cool, I could not have coped in the wool ones.

+ On the way back I passed 3 chaps in black kilts, no tartan kilts at all; I am so glad to be different; this kilt will gat a hell of a lot of wear.

Will post a picture of it once I have a good one.

P.S. I am now thinking what my next kilt (No 5) should be.

    Cheers...
    Martyn

Everyone's closet is big enough to hold a camo kilt, or some other knock-around type of kilt. Glad to hear about (and hopefully see) your hillwalking in a modern kilt.
