    Old Jacket Revamped

I had this old Jacket in my wardrobe doing nothing, I admit it to be a little on the snug side. My wife & I thought, lets try & make a kilt Jacket out of it.
    Jacket Before alterations

    Jacket after alterations

What do you think,is it serviceable or not. (There is buttons to go on the epaulettes yet )

What a transformation! More than serviceable, I'd say. The cool-neutral color goes very well with the blues and black belt/sporran/shoes. Nice tailoring. Excellent job.

[sarcasm] No no. That looks AWFUL. [sarcasm]
You're going to have to do away with it. Just send it over to me and I'll properly dispose of it!

No, but really. WOW! looks great! Once I get a bit of confidence on a sewing machine I'd like to make a go at converting one.

I just read this thread again and had to comment about the before and after shots. That is an amazing transformation. From the too small leisure suit look to a sophisticated kilt wearing gentleman. Very well done. O'Neille
