    Kilt wearing accepted?

Is your wife or S.O. in favor of you wearing a kilt?

My wife is not a fan. After a year of wearing kilts almost 50% of the time, she's used to it now but still not a fan.

As a matter of fact, my wife likes HoseHead in a kilt too.

I marked yes... but it was in fact not always so. In the beginning she found it acceptable for highland games, holidays, upscale restaurants, etc. but not for daily attire. With much discussion, several kilt/pub nights, persistence, and will power, she has pretty much come to accept it. Sharing with her some of the fun that goes on at Xmarks has also helped turn her around. I now wear kits wherever I choose to do so.... but I have agreed not to wear kilts to her office. Also I do not typically wear kilts during the week.

It's been an evolution of sorts.

My wife & I are a good example of opposite attraction. Because she tends to be shy & conservative, she'd prefer me not wearing kilts because of the attention it gets. That's still her opinion even after 3 yrs of my regular kilt wearing. We also respect each others preferences & quirks, so she doesn't give me any grief about wearing kilts, though. That's just another reason why we're closing in on 30 happy years together.

Absolutely. She thinks it looks better than the ragged jeans I wore before.

I tend to associate with people whom are mostly in accordance with my fundamental human values. I am a "freed" man. Freed from the thought police. Freed from the tyrannies of other's condemnations, condescensions, constipations, consternations, contemplations and all the other cons nonsense.
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Like a few others, my wife was hesitant at first regarding my kilt wearing. She now loves to see me kilted, especially when going out.

I had to mark No. She is getting more accepting, buy I don't think she really buys in or is excited about it yet. Luckily, we have a relationship similar to RR and his wife, so it works. And since we are coming up on 20 years knowing each other this year, apparently it works for us!
