Made My Daughter a "Skirt" (backwards kilt)

Here I was at home with very little to do and I had the other dollar piece of fabric I picked up yesterday. So I started With 3 yards of 16" wide fabric and now have a nice pleated skirt for the little girl. All I did was start building it from the right insted of the left and it came out a skirt. When I took it to her Mom's for her to try on she wouldn't stop twirling and I couldn't get a good shot with the phone. I'll post one later it is really cute!

She wanted to wear it to school tomorrow but I think we'll wait for cooler weather. O'Neille

Just imagine the reactions when she tells her friends "My Daddy made it".

You're getting rather handy with that sewing machine, Dr. O'Neill! Looking good.

I agree - that's what air conditioning is for. Let her wear it while she's so excited, and watch her glow with pride in her dad.

Man, that's cool. My daughter would love that.

What holds it together? Just a belt?

I'm about to post pictures of Her wearing it. I'll take a picture of the inside. I made it long with a narrow apron so I can shorten the deep pleat and she can still wear it for a while. O'Neille

Sorry for the multiple posts. I forgot to answer the question. Velcro holds it together. Seems to work well. O'Neille
