Black Watch 16 oz. on E-Bay just now
44 waist, 24 drop. Too fat for me, but thought I'd let others know

It doesn't say what the material is. Probably acrylic or something.,..

It does say 16 oz heavyweight. If it is 16 oz., then maybe it's not acrylic because Rocky has been looking for that weight in acrylic and can't find it. Again, not my size but may be worth another member's follow-up. I did also just see this one for the shorter, slender members.
Text says this:
Original Regimental Royal Highlanders Kilt of 1918.
Regimental Black Watch tartan
Black Watch tartan with a hue and setting of 1913-1918.
I think it's not worn and has been stored new since 1918.
The cloth is the regular thickness of those days for OR kilts, 22 oz.
The Kilt also shows a faint stamp (W with arrow) on the inner cream/white lining, which shows it's an original regimental of those days.
The kilt has no kilt buckles and straps. In those days kilts were held in place with pins on both sides.
Buckles and straps had to be sewn on by the men themselves in 1918
Very Little moth tracing in the (inside) woolen white/cream lining.
It's in excellent condition nice, clean, original
Inside label shows:
Size: 14
Height: 5 ft. 7&8
Waist: 31
Breech: 37
Duncan, Smith & Co. Ltd, Glasgow, 1918
Furthermore a number 7952 , which is probably model nr. and year of model
1913

Actually Rocky's been hunting 16oz. Poly/Viscose fabric, not acrylic.

I believe it is 80/20 wool/poly. I looked at some of their feedback and some of those that look identical are 80/20. I've never been able to find out which number was the wool content, so I never had the courage to try one. O'Neille
