New in town and still finding my way around this kilted village...
some questions...
Measurements....inches or centimeters? does it matter? I prefer the metric precision but am I being too precise? Does it matter that much when we are talking dynamic waistlines?
Shipping....I have seen some posts from Xmarkers far and wide and from kiltmakers as well... do you kiltmakers, Freedom, USAK, Stillwater et al, have any strong feelings on shipping to APO addresses?

Lastly, a very large THANKS to those who have already answered some of my questions...Matt and others....and to A Hay who lead me to this XmarkstheScot site and, therefore, hopefully astray of the confinement of the bifurbicated life...

I would think that you'd want to provide measurements in whatever unit your kiltmaker uses. I think a mission to Mars failed famously for mixing metrics. A kilt is much more important (if only slightly less expensive), so speak to your kiltmaker and decide what's best.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought that mailing to an APO was like mailing domestically.

Most kiltmakers who make the kilts themselves prefer Inches... we can even go as small as half inches if that helps with percision...

APO's are fine... it is like domestic mail with the exception of filling out a form for packages.

Been my experience that by the time I get the kilt my measurements (bellywise) have changed anyway.

It is a true dream when your kiltmaker has your measurements down though...however you communicate your size.

I use metric when I taper my kilts. It's just easier. I measure and order in inches. O'Neille
