Sierra Vista Kilt Night Aug 25
I was out tonight with a beautiful lady who wanted to take me out for a Guinness. While at the local Pub The owner who bought some drinks asked if I would come back on Friday the 25th of August about 5:30 p.m..
They are filming a commercial that day....so any local kilties who show up will probably have some air time and enjoy complimentary beers on the house. This is a great opportunity to get free beers. Oh! I mean get some kilt exposure in the media. He would also be very greatful if a Piper were to show up (Hint). PM me if you can make it. Sierra Vista is a little over an hour SouthEast of Tucson. Anyone coming for the weekend would be welcome to join me as my guest in Bisbee on Saturday w/ a Pub Crawl to rival the old country. bisbee is a great old mining town with a gaggle of bars and pubs that have tons of character. There is also artsy shopping to entertain the companions if you bring one. The pub crawl will be a walking tour as everything is crammed into one little canyon. Great Place.
The Filming and drinking will commence at 5:30 on Friday the 25th of August at Irish Pub & Steakhouse, 4301 S. Hwy 92, (520) 378-6835 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Also may include some birthday celebration by myself as I turn 43 on Tuesday.

Well,
We kilted Zonies seem to have something in common. I'll be in Tucson on the 25th, but in training until 5 then having dinner with my daughter and grandkids...
Close, but no cigar.
Don't give up though...
And, I'll have to be a designated driver...I've had far more than my share of booze.

I replied to your PM before I read this, but I am still gonna try to get myself, and my fellow piper out there......5:30 might be pushing it though, as my buddy might be working still ....hmm we'd have to leave Tucson by 4:00 doin 90 we'd make it there but just barely. any way they could make it 6:00?
I mean if you want pipers there and all
I'll talk to Vinni and see if he can get out of work early...we might be able to make it

Update on SV Kilt Night
The proprietor bought be a birthday drink tonight. I informed him that the pipers and drummers may need a good single malt to get them warmed up after their drive down from Tucson. He said they would be well taken care of with drinks and food on the house. I think the Irishman has gone mad. Beers are on the house for the kilted bretheren not toting an instrument. The film crew will be setting up at 5:30 so as soon as everyone can make it the party will get started. He has also decided to start having an occasional kilt night.
I met another piper who has recently return from Iraq and Afghanistan and reportedly is a little out of practice. He may bring his pipes on Friday also. O'Neille

he would be more than welcome! it doesnt matter if he's out of practice....he'll get into the groove realitively quickly me thinks......
when I went back east to visit the inlaws one time I brought my pipes with me, turns out the next door neighbor played too .....but he hadnt played in about 10 years!! well he busted his out , and we played the "usuals" AG,STB
green hills of tyrol ect and he got up to speed fairly quickly! he couldnt play as LONG but he could play!
btw I remember seeing a post not too long ago about Scotland depraved (oops) i mean the brave and agonizing grace and I agree they are way over done ...but unless us pipers get out there and play other stuff and teach people that not all "chunes" are the same thats all we're ever gonna get asked to play!
just once I would like to be asked to play "raigmore, or itchy fingers, or Duncan Macinnes fancy" and it not be by a fellow piper!
oh well
SEE YA FRIDAY!!

I believe most of us are planning on hanging out until at least 10. I'll probably be there later than that if it's as much fun as I think it will be. Roommates and friends are welcome to come early also. O'Neille
