SWK is on the way - UPDATE:Make that "here"
OK, so I decided to hold off on the SWK Nightstalker for now (seeing as they don't have my size in stock, it wasn't that tough a choice). Seein' as it's maiden voyage into the world of the kilted, I went with the Black Watch Economy to get a feel for the sizing of their kilts before I go for the Standard version.
Nylon Nightstalker sporran (still undecided which leather model to get), belt n' buckle, leather sporran strap, hose and flashes are on their way. From what I've read, I should expect the package shortly.
Will post the pics (and the wife's reaction) after the "unveiling".
POST UPDATED (8/28)
OK...THAT was some fast shipping!
I finished ordering on Saturday morning, got an e-mail later in the day, saying it's ready to be shipped, and it was on my front porch on MONDAY!

whats the diffrence between the standard and the economy versions at Stillwater? Im thinking about getting an Irish National sometime before St. Patties day. The price diffrence is only like $30. So, to those of you that have both, whats the deal? Spend the extra $30 or go for the economy version?

I have both types from SWK, I use the economy for running around the house, gardening, building etc. but I personally wouldn't wear it out in general public like I do my Standard ones. The economy has less pleats, is lighter and doesn't swing or sit the same way as the standard, it also tends to fly up more than the standard. You also need to consider that the standard kilt has each pleat sewn down to the hips and sits correctly like a well made wool kilt, the economy however is only sewn at the belt line and is free to swing from there, the first thing that I did when I received the economy kilt was to take a sewing machine and sew all the pleats down to the hip level, a fair amount of work but well worth it, if you do not have a sewing machine, access to one, or some sort of sewing skill, then I'd highly recommend spending the extra $30 and getting a standard kilt. Although I have nothing against the economy kilt, I just really prefer the std.
Hope this helps.

Get the Standard version. It is better made and heavier than the the economy. You are going to look good without spending tons of money.

Once you get the sizing down, and are comfortable with the Stillwater, you may want to give the heavyweight line a sho. I went straight from their economy to the heavyweight... and they are very well made for the money. There are worse things you could do for the money. If you feel you want to go tailored, USA Kilts seems like a great group to go with... there is also the option to get your Stillwater tailored a little to fit better as well, if it's a little long or what not. There are a number of good values out there, SW is ranked pretty high for the costs. I am sure you'll enjoy it... then you'll start jonesing like most of us... heh.

OK, I just finished changing my order from the Economy to the Standard. I think I'll be much happier with it. Pics will be up as soon as I get 'em.
Thanks for all the advice on this site - a great "e-community".

The kilt will not be long in arriving. Jerry's sizing seems to be slightly different than others. My tank and the rest of my casuals are sized for a 46 waist, and I wear them in the tightest setting on the straps. My Stillwaters are 44s, and they are confortable in the middle hole if the straps, so it appears that Stillwater sizes are at their tightest setting. Anyhow, you'll love the kilt, but like the others around here, I think you will be even happier with a standard. From there, you'll be looking at the heavyweights and drooling over custom made kilts in no time.
