    New Brown Sporran

I got this in the mail today and only won it a few days ago. It cost $11 buy it now or bid starting a buck less. Only $2 shipping so for $13 I couldn't pass it up. Here's a pic and a link if anyone is shopping tonight. O'Neille

You can see it worn with the new Camo that I'm about to post under General Kilt Talk

That looks pretty good. I've not seen a price that low and it makes me wonder about the quality. Keep us informed on how well it holds up.

The dark brown appears to be oil-tanned and full thickness hide. The thongs are stout and all of the sewing is top notch saddle stitching. The sueded pigskin has very nice bristle markings and is stitched and doublechained near the gussett. I've got saddles that aren't this good. I have a feeling that they are mostly a saddle and tack shop that uses some of their small table cuttings to make up this type of stuff. O'Neille

I checked out this vendor's other items and saw this beautiful-looking rolled luggage. You could probably get two rolled kilts in here. [/IMG]http://www.arenaleather.com/images/Saddles/cav-aus/lgvalise.jpg[IMG]

Darn! the image inserter's not working. here's the link

Interesting idea using a leather concha (with rawhide drawstrings?) as a closure - I must play around with that and investigate the possibilities.

    Thumbs up

Thanks for the additional info. It sounds very well made. When you see something that's lower priced than everything else it raises a red flag so to speak.

It's not huge, I don't have a Buzz Kidder. It is a drawstring closure that opens to about the size of a grapefruit. However since it is not a rigid pouch you can move stuff around without digging. O'Neille

I just got my Buzz Kidder rob roy yesterday and If i had it over to do I'd have gotten the Inverness. The Rob Roy doesn't have as much room as some folks have said and the seams that create the ribbed look really stick into the pouch space, making it uncomfortable to retrieve stuff. I still need a daywear black and I'm going to wait for the Stillwater Nightstalker leather to come out
