Not kilt related, but somebody I work with wanted to see my home office, now that I am telecommuting full-time. Here it is, boxes and all, and my older daughter manning the chair! It also shows the bamboo floors we installed before moving back in. They are gorgeous!

your floors look nice! I do a lot of bamboo floors over here too. Its one of my specialties. Watch out for water problems, it doesnt hold up well with water and tends to grow mold quickly. Its not the toughest flooring out there either, watch out for scratches and crush marks, like the wheels of your chair and stuff. oh and make sure you dont let the dogs in there if you have any, they'll be a killer on your new floor!

Thanks for the heads up. I knew about the water, but I had understood that bamboo was very hard wearing and would last forever. I know that we have some scratches and a few gouges from moving the furniture in, but other than that nothing seems to hurt it, at least so far. We do have a dog, but she is pretty old and doesn't do too much running around any more. And I do have floor protectors beneath my chair and my wife's office chair, and we put felt pads on all the furniture. We will see how it wears.

My wife just started working from home as well. She is loving it and hates going into the office every couple of weeks for training.
