A nice meet.

Yesterday I met up with Trefor (McClef) in Abergavenny. Arwyn and myself met up with him in the Hen & Chickens, one of the older pubs in the town, while the women had gone off shopping etc. There is an international food festival going on there this weekend so the whole place is buzzing. Trefor is a great guy and the afternoon swiftly went by, by which time we had to make our way back to the bus stop (via the chippy). No pics by me I'm afraid, although there was one taken of us all by someone else who is going to send them on.

The time indeed passed quickly in pleasant company and good ale.

I think the good citizens of Abergavenny must have been quite surprised to see two kilties at one go - or should I say one kiltie and one ciltie!

We had some pleasant reactions and friendly interested questions about kilts and tartans and we may have convinced on gentleman at the bus stop to think about obtaining one and passed him the xmarks url too!

It just goes to show what a great passport to friendship the kilt provides.

Am hoping to see Derek again soon as there is a ceilidh coming up in Cardiff.
