I am recruiting for a geotechnical engineer for one of my high profile clients in Vancouver, BC. We are looking for someone who has over 5 years of experience and process experience in project management. The client is willing to pay up to $125k for the right candidate.

Also, If you are chosen by client, you will be moving to Vancouver BC. I will be buying you pints at our monthly kilts night. Imagine that!! Free beer at Doolin's and you gotta live in the most beautiful province in Canada. Also, I will be greeting you at the airport with a bottle of single malt of your choice.

Who ever give me a referal of a geotechnical engineer, that person will receive a bottle of single malt as well.

    I think I can probably spell "geotactical", errrr . . . "geotabernacle" . . . errr . . . well, I was going to say I could spell it 3 times out of 4, but maybe not . . . am I still qualified?

Seriously, I'm curious -- I don't think I've heard of that field of engineering -- what do they do?

They are soils (dirt, sand & rock) engineers, they analyze the sub surface composition and properties of soil to determine the soil bearing capacity among other things.

This should start a lively discussion

My own 2 cents...I'm quite fond of PEI and NS, my family has roots in those provinces. But for living by the sea and the mountains (two important items), BC is hard to beat.

For those perks, I might consider moving if you looking for a licensed hydrogeologist
