    Veteran's Pride

This Saturday, November 11, is Veteran's Day in the United States. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs is calling on all veterans to wear their medals with pride that day. He was inpired by what he witnessed while visiting Sydney, Australia on ANZAC Day: veterans and surviving family members wearing the medals. Details can be found here: http://www1.va.gov/veteranspride/

To all my fellow veterans, thanks for your service.

Because of a missing right eye which was shot out with an arrow when I was 2, I was never was able to serve. (I did try, I was caught at the physical  ) I am very greatful to those that have. My dad, uncles, and grandfathers were all Army & Airforce.

I will wear ALMOST any tartan. Out of respect for the U.S. armed forces I do not wear any of those.

Thanks for the post, nice to see vets getting the respect they deserve. Their sacrifice should never be forgotten.

I figured since I won't wear them on my jacket, I'd wear them "here." So, I'll use this new avatar throughout the weekend.
