Award for most bizarre "fur" sporran!!!!

    WARNING: No pics YET!

I found the solution for a back project.

I have always wanted a skunk sporran, as is fairly well known (and what go me to FINALLY join and stop lurkying).
Knowing the reactions, I ALSO wanted one made put of an appropriate stuffed animal (kids toy style). I've had ideas, even buying a "sporran proportioned" toy skunk (which my daughter adopted and we have named "Shortbread," to go with the furry beannie baby-esque one "Scotch"). I suggested making Shortbread into a sporran, and she went BALISTIC .

    Idea almost dead. :crap:

At Goodwill today, I found a backpack that has a stuffed animal bag in just the right size   . And GUESS what it was, a SHEEP !!!!

So, tonight, I am removing the straps, sewing a white vinal backing onto it, and adding belt loops and d-rings to the back.

    POW!!!!

Sheep "fur" sporran with head and even FEET!!!

I'm excited, and will wear it to an appropriate games and/or post pics as soon as I get a site set up to link them to for this forum. (I Know, it sounds stupid, but wait till you see it.)

Hate to say it, but I've seen those.

There was a shop in Edinburgh that had novelty sporrans including sheep, the "hielan' coo," and another that I believe was supposed to be a haggis.

And they had built-in sound effects.

I, too, can't wait to see this one. I've made three skunk sporrans so far, and I'm always looking for new and interesting ideas.

At least I'm not the only one that wants a skunk sporran. This idea has passed my mind before and I cant wait to see it done.

I want to make one out of one of those cute baby harp seal plush toys from Sea World; the ones with the big, sad eyes.

A seal walks into a pub.
