(amost 21) year old Scot in South Texas
Hey all! I'd like to introduce myself! My name is Joshua Horn Im a 20 soon to be 21 year old Scot-German American. I live in San Antonio Texas. About half a year ago I became intrested in my Scots-Irish ancestors. Then came the intrest in the Kilt. I could not afford my Clan's tartan (Cochrane) wool. So I bought a generic Tartan wool for about 40.00$ for 5 yards. My grandmother who is married to my Scots-Irish Grandfather whom I love dearly. My grandfather got Alzheimers at the age of about 82 or 81 and hes 85 now. But the doctors caught it early enough to where he still remembers me. Out of the few people he remembers Im the most remembered one. I come to visit my grandmother and grandfather every week. I talk to my grandmother about my Scots-Irish ancestors all the time. I have currently 1 kilt that was hand and machine sewn by my grandmother who is a advanced/professional hand and machine sewer. I have the wool kilt in a generic red black with white stripe tartan, a matching sporran, a matching plaid over my shoulder, white knee long socks, a grey sweater and brown similar kilt like dress shoes. It is a 5 yard casual kilt. I LOVE it and I wear it often. I am a usual browser and poster on the Braveheart kilt forums. a photo of me in my kilt in a rather traditional form in the local park is below. I look forward to hearing from new people on here! !!
Josh!

Welcome Joshua from California.
One thing, your signature line: "A real man wears a kilt"
I think after you've been here awhile you'll discover that a real man wears what he feels is right and takes pride in his appearance be that a kilt, blue jeans, tuxedo, sarong, or a kimono. Clothes do not make the man. The man makes the clothes.
Cheers
