MA-1 Style Flight Jacket from US Cavalry
Well friends, it arrived yestereve, and I must say I am pleased. I was a little worried with the price difference between the flight jacket US Wings sells and the one from US Cavalry, but it seems to be made quite well. There is no "Made In . . ." tag, so where it's imported from, I don't know, but it is made by a company called Tru-Spec.
I chose the black one for it's versatility with various tartans, and it fits well without covering the beautiful tartan
So thanks to all who recommended the MA-1 flight jacket--it is indeed kilt-compliant [for casual wear].

Ain't they cool James.
Whatever you do, don't go to www.flightsuits.com
Especially don't look at their leather flight jackets...

Very cool, Ron. Luckily, I'm jonesing hard for a few USAK casuals, so www.flightsuits.com has little effect on me, lol For now, anyway

Excellent, looking forward to seeing some pics of your new flight jacket teamed with kilts. My wife has promised me a flight jacket for Christmas.

I ordered this jacket:

I decided not to go with the cheaper one... splurged for the Alpha Industries one.
EDIT... it's not coming up from that link. If you search on "Alpha CWU/45P Flight Jacket" it will pop up.

I ran into this MA 1 at a surplus store in Mesa, AZ but they wanted about $100 retail for it...would have paid it too if they'd had my size. Found it on line at US Camo for nearly half that and in my size.

Haven't taken any pics yet, but dang it sure looks good with my black Stewart SportKilt.
