Christmas Outfit Picture

Hope everyone had a great Christmas.

The Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess and I hosted our families for a Christmas dinner. Last year we did away with the traditional Holiday meal to have a "Christmas with the Godfather" (Lasagne, pasta dishes, garlic bread, green salad, grappa, and Chianti). This year the theme was "Christmas with the Raja" (Dahl with lentils, lamb curry, tandori chicken, cucumber salad, and lots of naan).

We sang "Good King Wenceslas" as the F-H.C.A.G. accompanied us on the piano (which was a goal for her this Holiday season). We ate, drank, and made merry. The various gifts I had made were well recieved. Xena and Sinbad had a wonderful day. The evening ended with the F-H.C.A.G. and I dancing with Xena to Cream's "Tales of Brave Ulysses" (one can only listen to Christmas music for just so long). It was a marvelous day.

My lovely wife gave me a green heavyweight SWK (and some scotch ), my parents gave me two pairs of kilt hose, and from my mother-in-law received a beautiful pewter kilt pin with an amber stone.

A new Kilt AND Scotch Whisky. She really knows what will make you happy at Christmas.
Excellent photos and that is a very nice kilt indeed.
I like the little train round the base of the Christmas tree too.

I think she got it from the Celtic Croft (an X Marks advertiser)

It's model SJKP2 (the forth one from the top on this page) with an amber stone in the inset.

The waistcoat was a gift from my lovely wife who bought it from my friend Jon over at Highland Warmth (now part of his new venture TWRF Creative). I believe it was a special order.

It's a wool vest from Scotland in the Galbraith modern tartan. It's not a kilt vest. I just folded the bottom of the vest (including the last button) up and took two small safety pins to hold it in place. Voila' instant kilt vest and one that goes right back to being a regular waistcoat afterwards.

The dark green matches the kilt perfectly. I am really pleased with the whole outfit.
