    Glenkinchie

My wife bought me a bottle of "Glenkinchie". I've never tried it but am looking forward to it, as soon as I'm off call.

Ah yes, one of the Classic Six. If you want to complete the collection the others are Dalwhinnie, Cragganmore, Oban, Talisker and Lagavulin, the latter being the "biggest" of the lot. All are wonderful examples of their regions. ENJOY!!

Glenkinchie's a lowland malt; Glenkinchie distillery is the closest distillery from here (about 40 miles). Strangely they don't sell full size bottles of Glenkinchie single malt in the supermarkets around here, though miniatures can be bought locally in specialist wine and spirit shops. I was quite fond of Glenkinchie in my younger days when I used to drink whisky.

I have had all the others except Lagavulin. Thw bottle that she bought me is a 750 ml bottle. I was looking reading the lable when she walked up and she asked if I liked it. I told her that I had never tried it, but woul like too. I wasn't going to get it as we were only supposed to be getting a couple of thing for the New Year. She surprised me at the checkout. I guess that I'll have to bring a flask to our Burns Night!
