    Bottle of Glenkinchie.

    Dirkskene and I tried the Glenkinchie last night. WOW!int: Pure distilled silk! Manna from heaven! It was great. IT :buttkick: I am going to bring a larger flask to our Burns night. It's almost as good as my wonderful wife. { Don't ask me how I got so lucky, 'cause I don't know!}

    I thought the post was the Battle of Glenkinchie,
    was expecting to read about you two getting into a
    bar fight with someone , or something like that.
    Glad to hear you enjoyed the bottle, not the battle.

    Well it would be good stuff when it comes from Scotland. Glenkinchie is the closest distillery from here, situated near the vilages of Pencaitland and Saltoun in the East Lothian district so it is a lowland malt. Originally called Glenkinchie because the distillery used the water from the Kinchie Burn. I used to enjoy this one when I was a whisky drinker. I think most of the production must go for export or blending because although it is easy to obtain the miniature bottles locally, it would be rare to find a full size bottle in the shops around here.

    Sometimes I wouldn't mind a good bar fight. Hadn't been in one in years. Bar or fight. Dirkskene has lead me astray, back into the bars. Actually just into the Flying Saucer, which is a really nice, well lit pub. They sell good cigars as well. Anice Whiskey or cognac, a fine cigar and good company. Can you think of a better way to spend an evening?

    I did not have to twist your arm I do like the place because it is friendly & except at night on a weekend you can take whole families. The whisky was divine. Did you check out Pour 1's tour of that distillary?

    A place with good whisky and it lets you smoke cigars? Sounds like a little piece of heaven.
    And the waitresses weren't bad either, if that was where your pictures came from.

    I gotta get to Memphis.

    I'm too young to drink but this thread caught my eye. I actually toured the Glenkinchie distillery this summer as part of a trip to the UK. It was quite and experience and amazing to see the different processes that go into making it as well as what affects the flavor and color of it. It was a very fun experience even as a minor.
