Shih Tzu full mask sporran? Anyone?
Ok ok, no skinning of the family pet.
But, I'm not too happy with the little bugger. I purchased brown leathers from Robin last month. One of the things I purchased from him was one of Steve Frazier's (Cavscout) leather sporran straps. Well, it seems Winston decided it would make for a tasty midafternoon snack.
WEAK!
He chewed up the back pretty good, leaving wee teeth marks and general dismay around the buckle and adjustment holes. I wore my brown accesories for the second time today, and carelessly left the sporran and strap on the back of the sofa. I've already sent Steve an email requesting an invoice for a new one.

Well, if not a sporran, how 'bout slippers? Of course, you'd prob'ly need another little guy so you could get two slippers... I'm glad all 4 of my furkids are old enough the need to chew is pretty much gone. That's a bummer.

Arrrgh! Man that is tough... I think turning the dog into a sporran strap would be a better idea (kidding, of course )

Sorry to hear that Bradley, but thank you for choosing my strap again.
Note to self, send Winston a milk bone

HAH!
That turd has a chest full of toys and rawhide pieces and all sorts of things. But, no, he prefers Nikki's high heels and (apparently) my leather pieces.

It is because those things SMELL like you and Nikki. And he is chewing them most likely because he is not getting enough attention. Common behaviour problem. Spend more time with the dog, certain breeds demand more attention than others. And make sure you rub your smell on all of his toys and playthings. I don't know enough about that particular breed, but if it is a working breed, start working him somehow so he will not feel stressed. A stressed dog is nervous and will chew.
My dog will completely ignore any new toys we give her. So we stick them in the bottom of the dirty clothes basket under a pile of laundry for a while and let them 'age'.
When we retrieve them from the laundry and give them to the dog, she wont put them down, she will run and walk all over the apartment with them, carrying whatever it is we just gave her with her where ever she goes. She'll sleep with it, play with it, chew on it, and she doesn't chew on things that clearly are not hers.

Brad, I know the feeling. My 3 pound cat took a 4 pound, frozen turkey breast off the kitchen counter in the middle of the night. I found it by tripping over it in the bedroom at 4:30 in the morning!!!Worse than kids!!
