    The Unveiling

I've just returned from yet another trip to Victoria, visiting "Laird and Lady" Ashton. I picked up my Freedom Kilts kilt shirt so hang on boys and girls, here we go!!

The KiltedKnome presents me with the shirt. I'd like to thank my wife, the academy......

Next up, you can see why this shirt is GUARANTEED to stay tucked in.

    Properly adjusted, finally.

Now, a shot of the cuff detail I had embroidered.

Will this garment stand up to a "Hamish"? YOU BET!

And even the extremely difficult double mirror image "Hamish". Also note in this pic (and the previous ones) I'm wearing my new SWK Saffron, the new Drebo tam and a just purchased Kidder lace sporran.

And lastly, his lairdship, "It's NOT a skirt!!"

Well, there you have it. Some of these will be duplicated on the Freedom Kilts site. Thanks for taking the time to go through these and all comments and/or suggestions will be appreciated.

Nice touch with the cuff embroidering. It gives a cuff link effect.

It's from Freedom Kilts in Victoria, BC. Click the link in the Ad bar above to check out the website. I think the shirt is under accessories.

I'm very sorry but the shirts are not yet on the website. We are working on a complete re-design and the shirts will be there. I promise.

Until then you can read about them in the thread "how's this for a kilt shirt" in the Freedom Kilts section.

All the shirts are available with the standard "Stand and Fall" collar and the "Grandfather" collar.

There are three cuffs available - one button, 2 button, or french(double).

You can specify none, 1 or 2 chest pockets.

We can also do the collar and cuffs in a differant color.

The Hemp/Cotton blend fabrics are very nice and those are the ones available in the 5 colors. This fabric is probably going to end up the only fabric we will use for the shirts as the 100% hemp is very thick, coarse, and stiff, and the 100% cotton is available everywhere else.

If you are interested in a shirt, they are available now, just not over the website, so please e-mail or call me directly and Bobbie or I will talk you through the measuring and details.

If your shirts do well, would you consider adding more colors? I'd like see more neutrals. I think it was Hamish who coined the term "uncolor."
Like charcoal grey, a greenish khaki, chocolate brown perhaps.
