Bagpiper needed!
I hate for my first post to be one begging for help, but... such is life. Just for future reference, I do fiddle, so I promise to be of some contribution to conversations later on
Anyway, on to my request. My grandmother died somewhat suddenly this past Tuesday, and due to monetary restraints, my mother and aunt decided to have her cremated rather than a burial. Due to these same restraints, they weren't going to do much for the music at the service until my music-minded self came along and protested -- that protest landed me in charge of music.
My Nanny had fallen in love with her Scottish heritage the last few years of her life, and I would love to find a bagpiper to play a song at her service on Sunday. It is in Landrum, SC, around 3 in the afternoon. I can't afford a huge fee in any lump sum, but I'm definitely willing to work with anyone who can play for the service, as far as payments are concerned. If anyone can help, I will be *eternally* grateful.
Please email or pm me if anyone can help with this! My coworker (MacWage) recommended this site as a great place to find someone, and said I'd likely enjoy it too... looks so far as if he was right

I hope sincerely that some of the members from North or South Carolina will be able to help; very pleased to see Tartanhiker's response above.

I'll just say that Tartan Hiker is a good man. It seems to have rubbbed off on his kids too. I believe MadBagpiper is going to do it!!
Kika988 and they are figuring out the details.
Our prayers go out to Kika and her family.
