    Sporran sewing directions

I have found in the past a set of direction for sewing a sporran on the net, but now I can not find it. They had cut patterns also, that I did copy to my computer. Any help out there?

    Here are the cut patterns:

    nice pattern!

    G'day Kilted X

That's a nice pattern! Any chance that you might be inclined to share that file (what format is the file in, btw?)?

The actual sewing instructions might take a while to type out, but I'd be willing to assist (I've just finished my first sporran, and have done leather work as a hobby for several years now).

How about a trade? The sporran pattern file for my interpretation on how to put the thing together?

    cheers

These I found online with instructions. I forgot to bookmark the page so I cannot find it now. I think they are in *.gif files & they are not to scale when printed. I am a computer draftsman & I am working on an AutoCAD file version which I can print to Adobe PDF at a 1"=1" scale. Though they will not be exactly the same, due to the fact that I am drawing them symmetrically by hand.

The thing I do not understand are the notches in all of the corners of each piece. I know the Gay line should be the stitch line & the black line the cut line.

The gray line should be the stitch line, and the notches are to allow you to fold the excess material at the corners without it puckering (the area between the gray and black lines will wind up inside the sporran after sewing).
