Philly Area February 23rd

Here's the email that I sent out announcing a kilt night in on the 23rd...

Hear ye, Hear ye,

If you have a kilt and want an excuse to pull it out of the back of your
closet before Patty’s Day, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE!

USA Kilts would like to announce a KILT NIGHT on Friday, February 23, 2007.
Mark your calendar!

If you love Irish Music, come on out! If you just need an excuse to get out
of the house for an evening, come out and party with us! If you’re crazy
enough to wear a kilt in February, you’re crazy enough to hang out with me!
Even if you DON’T own a kilt or choose not to wear one, you’ll have a great
night out with the rest of us (though we WILL make fun of the “weirdos in
pants”).

Here’s the “Skinny” on the Kilt Night:

Where: Brittingham’s Irish Pub, 640 E. Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA
19444 (directions at: http://brittinghams.com )

Who: The Sean Flemming Band ( http://www.seanflemingband.com … upbeat traditional Irish music)

When: The Band starts at 9 PM on Friday Feb 23rd. ($5 cover charge)

If you’d like to eat dinner BEFORE the show (they have great food), please
make reservations directly with Brittinghams (tell them you want to be in
the “pub” if you’d like to have a guaranteed seat for the evening). Their
phone # is 610.828.7351

Why: Because we can.

If you plan on coming (either for the band or for dinner AND the band), drop
me an email to let me know, so we have a rough idea how many people to expect!

Hope to see you there. Also… invite your friends! Make it a “date night
out”! Come out “stag” if you have to… just come out and wear a kilt!

Just a bump. I don't know if I can make it, but I am for sure planning on the Phoenixville Celtic Street Fair in May.

I'm really sorry I missed this oppertunty at Brittinghams. I just discovered this website and this thread. Will there be another kilt night there?

There are always kilt nights in the works in the Philly area - and Brittinhams is a favorite. So yes, there will be more.

Remember, ANYONE can start a kilt night at any location - all you have to do is post!

Hey Pipebear,

Welcome to the forum! Are you in a band in Norristown?

We have kilt nights on a semi-regular basis. The next one I am planning is for April 6th (tartan day). If you have any suggestions on a location, let me know!

Also, there's 1 Irish Pub opening up in Phoenixville in Sept and another that just bought a building (opening TBD), so within a year, we'll be having some kilt nights over here in Phoenixville!

Yes, and I have both you and Kelly to thank for that. I stopped in your store last fall and you guys recommended the band to me. I joined them soon after. I also have to thank you for the beautiful kilt you made for me to wear in the band. Top notch work. So nice in fact that it's a shame to save it for only band needs, so I'll be sure to wear it to the next kilt night.
