I heard an really good fiddle player at the Greater Philadelphia Scottish and Irish Music Festival. Her name is Ashley MacLeod. It's even more impressive that she's only a teenager. She played music with lots of energy, but still very traditional in sound.

I caught some of her performance on Saturday and agree that she was very talented and quite entertaining but I absolutely hate keyboards with Celtic music. Real piano might be ok but cheesy synthesizer sounds that over power the fiddle in the mix, I just can't do. Unfortunately, that seems to be pretty common at the last two music festivals I have been to recently.
