    Black and White Kilt Pics

I'm confused. Somewhere between my camera, Kodak EasyShare, and Irfranview, something weird happened to two pics from last weekend. The vertical one is black and white on My Pictures, the horizontal one is color on My Pictures, both come out black and white in my British Gallery...go figure. Anyway, posted the vertical on another thread and folks liked it. So hey, enjoy.

The photographer is my lovely lady who's a radiologist by trade so she takes a LOT of pictures for a living. And, she takes a lot of personal pics herself too.

These were taken at Natural Bridge State Park near Payson, Arizona. Its the world's largest travertine natural bridge. We hiked a few hundred feet down a dicy trail to get to the bottom. I clambered out slowly. She's like a mountain goat and waltzed out.

Kilt is my old Utilikilts brown leather. The branches in the horizontal pic is because she was literally standing inside a tall bush to get the pic she wanted. The bright spot on the left is the fill flash reflecting off the ice covered grass...there's a waterfall drizzling there too.

The black and white aspect is a totally unexpected frustration, and bonus.

Great shots - I love working in B&W - especially when I'm "stone-aging" it and using film... especially since Kodak has (for now) B&W film you can drop off and have processed via C46 process. (Never did get the chance to put in the darkroom - an addiction avoided?)

But enough about me - those are super shots! They don't look much like those taken by most radiologists (at least not mine) - but we'll take your word for it.

    Congratulations!
